The Corporate NDE Level III will be the company technical resource for the NDE service line in terms of procedure development, NDE training, personnel certification, coordination of NDE procedures within the BMI quality system, and assistance in technology advancement within the service line.

Position can be based from any location and relocation is not required for right candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Development of procedures for NDE methods
• Development of new procedures to meet client specifications
• Maintain NDE procedures to assure compliance with latest editions of codes and specifications
• Assure equipment calibrations in accordance with procedures and governing code requirements
• Develop training for NDE methods
• Provide training in NDE methods for employees
• Provide On-the-Job training to technicians
• Develop certification exams in accordance with codes and specifications
• Certify NDE personnel in accordance with BMI written practice for certification of NDE personnel
• Develop procedures for advanced service methods
• Provide technical guidance and expertise for obtaining approval during audits/evaluations of clients to provide NDE services
• Provide input to service line manager on equipment manufacturer, models, etc. when required to be purchased
• Be active in industry organizations (i.e. ASNT, etc.) for business development and networking and for new technique opportunities to expand service line
• Attend trade shows that are pertinent to the NDE service line
• Perform occasional field service inspections as needed to assist in growth of service line.

Skills:
Skills and Qualifications
• Must be certified as ASNT Level III in minimum of following methods: Magnetic Particle (MT), Liquid Penetrant (PT), Ultrasonic (UT), and Visual (VT) methods
• Optional ASNT Level III certification in Electromagnetic Technique (ET) would be preferred
• Experience in advanced ultrasonic methods such as Phased Array and Time of Flight
• Must be efficient using Microsoft Office products
• Must be capable of reading codes and specifications and developing procedures and work instructions that meet requirements of those codes and specifications
• Must have knowledge of ASNT, ASME, API, AWS, and other codes and specifications
• Must be capable of working with operations team in regards to coordinating training and certification needs
• Must be well spoken and able to teach large and small groups and provide both technical and hands on training
