RCS has an opportunity for a Level I NDE Technician supporting Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. (SI) in Huntersville, NC or State College, PA. This is a part-time assignment, with anticipated duration of at least 6 months and the potential for full time employment.

Summary
Structural Integrity Associates (SI), an industry leader in engineering and advanced nondestructive examination (NDE) assessment services, is currently seeking an NDE Technician to support our continued growth and expansion into the oil and gas and power generation industries. The current position available is for part-time, temporary employment as a Level I NDE Technician.

Primary Responsibilities
•The current position is to support field-based projects at various customer locations requiring overnight travel. Assignments may include supporting the examination of gas pipelines and piping systems at nuclear and fossil power generation facilities located throughout the United States.
•When not working on field assignments, candidates may have opportunities to work out of our State College, PA, or Huntersville, NC office. All of SI’s offices are staffed with a unique combination of highly skilled engineers and NDE personnel.

Requirements
•Individuals considered for this position ideally should have completed a minimum of 40-hours of training in ultrasonic testing, with verifiable/documented experience sufficient to obtain Level I certification.
•Experience and/or training in welding processes and other NDE technologies in general, will also be of benefit for this position.
•This individual will be interfacing directly with clients; as a result, good communication skills is a requirement for the position.
•Previous experience working on or around natural gas pipeline systems, or in nuclear or fossil power plants, is also desired.
•Background checks, drug testing, and medical screening are a prerequisite for employment. Access to some customers’ facilities may require additional background and medical screening for security clearance and site access.
•Individuals should be willing to conduct assignments in environments with less than favorable conditions including physically challenging conditions (heat, cold or physical activities such as climbing or carrying equipment); ability to maintain focus in potentially hazardous industrial environments such as at heights, on scaffolds, noisy locations, with operating machinery nearby or overhead, and with other industrial activities occurring nearby (welding, grinding, flame cutting, overhead loads, etc.).
•Must be available to travel to client locations throughout the US. Travel duration typically averages 5-7 days per project (minimum of 2 days and a maximum of 2-3 weeks at a time).
•Must have a personal credit card for travel expenses (reimbursed).
•Must have the ability to rent a car and must have a valid driver's license.
•Due to the nature of this assignment, US Citizens are required.
