Applied Technical Services, Inc. (ATS) is a consulting engineering, testing, and inspection company that is seeking a passionate, enthusiastic Engineering Supervisor to be based out of our Syracuse, NY office. ATS offers a competitive wage and benefit package with full benefits including 401(k).

This position will be responsible for the daily operations and sales growth of the Syracuse office. Services offered from the Syracuse office include: industrial equipment inspections, vibration monitoring, tank/vessel/piping inspections, and non-destructive testing. This position will report to the Regional Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities:
• Increase department revenue through sales and new clients.
• Work closely with the Syracuse team; providing daily supervision, scheduling, and job coordination.
• Work closely with clients to ensure Safe, Timely, and Accurate results are provided.
• Perform field inspections of tanks, pressure vessels, and piping for compliance with standards and regulations, and ensures quality control and compliance.
• Provide recommendations for repairs and alterations to tanks, pressure vessels, piping and other components.
• Perform field inspections or rotating equipment installations, operating conditions, repair/maintenance and failure history.
• Provide recommendations for alterations to rotating equipment installations and other components.
• Expand ATS consulting service offerings based out of the Syracuse office (e.g. Project Management, FEA design, equipment program management, etc.)
Skills:
Qualifications:
• BS in engineering (or engineering technology)
• Willingness to travel up to 30%
• 3 – 5 years’ experience with industrial equipment inspections, operations, or maintenance experience
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work unsupervised
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to write and review reports detailing assessments and results
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD
• Ability to multi-task and work in a growing environment

Preferences:
• NY Professional Engineer License
• Familiarity with API, ASME, NACE, NBIC
• 3 – 5 years experience in mechanical reliability (rotating equipment)
• 3 – 5 years experience in tank/vessel/piping inspections, design, and MI program management.
• 3 – 5 years experience in Engineering Project Management.
