QC Weld Inspector
Hiring at Multiple Locations: Alvarado,Texas, Hicksville,Ohio, and Sioux City,Iowa


Responsibilities:
•The AWS Inspector is responsible to ensure that all parts, shafts, and/or poles meet standards set forth by design requirements.
•Performs all inspection in accordance with AWS QC1.
•Performs Visual Weld Inspections to the requirements of AWS D1.1.
•Responsible for visual dimensional inspection of poles, shafts, and prior to shipment.
•Uses various dimensioning tools (i.e. 25/50 foot tape measure, 6" rules, combination squares, levels, etc.) to ensure proper coatings have been applied, when required.
•Inspects parts to blue prints/design drawings.
•Cross train in other areas of Quality Control Department and fill in when need arises.
•Ensure that all documentation is accurately and neatly completed.
•Keep pass down log accurate.
•Comply with Sabre safety standards at all times.
•Maintain a professional demeanor at all times with personnel of Quality Department and all departments at Sabre.
•Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements:
•One year in Quality Control or related field in a manufacturing environment.
•Have the ability to perform work functions while standing for long periods of time.
•Have the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
•Have the ability to climb and bend over in order to perform inspections.
•Must be able to work in an open environment exposed to all climates.
•Be able to read and interpret blueprints
•Be able to accurately verify all parts to print using a tape measure.
•Possess effective communication skills.
•Must be able to read and write in English.
•Must be able to read and interpret blue prints/design drawings.
•Must be able to conduct dimensional inspections using various dimensioning tools (i.e., 25/50 foot tape measures, 6" rules, combination squares, levels etc.)
•Must be able to meet the AWS D1.1 requirements of a visual weld inspector

•High School/GED preferred but not required.
•Level 2 UT certification required
•Level 1 or 2 MT certification preferred
