Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Establish techniques and procedures for NDT inspections; interpret codes, standards, specifications and procedures.

Responsible for NDT operations and the interpretation and evaluation of results in terms of codes, standards and specifications.

Establish techniques and acceptance criteria when none are available.

Perform training and examination for Level I and II inspectors.

Work with other Quality Engineers, the QC Front Line Manager, Engineering and other groups and perform other Quality Assurance and Quality Control tasks as needed to support the Research Test Reactor and Target program.

Skills:
Qualifications:

Must have and be able to maintain ASNT Level III certification in Radiographic Testing (RT).

Certification for Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Visual Testing (VT) also highly desirable.

Must also meet the education, training, and experience requirements of ASNT SNT-TC-1A .

ABET accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics is required

Strong written/verbal communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a collaborative team

Ability to analyze and solve complex problems in cross functional teams

Ability to write and read technical reports

Demonstrated problem solving skills with a strong attention to detail

Computer proficiency and experience with MS office is required
