Position Purpose:
* The main function of the GIS Analyst I is to assist in the development and general maintenance of the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and provide high quality, timely reports to clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist with the continuous development, operations, and maintenance of the Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
* Generate time sensitive GIS reports for clients.
* Review incoming data for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
* Responsible for compiling mapping projects and delivering finished product to users and assisting users with the use of GIS products and GPS equipment.
* Enter new map data by direct input of coordinate information.
* Assist in the preparation of mapping requests for clients.
* Enforce and abide the requirements of safe operation and personal safety using required Personal Protective Equipment and Safe Practices per company policy.
* Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management.

Knowledge and Skills:
* Computer literate in relevant systems, ESRI, ArcGIS desktop.
* Entry level capable of basic level data processing tasks and simple analysis.
* Experience using Trimble Geo products.
* Experience using Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel.
* Ability to multitask, prioritize multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
* Ability to work independently with little need for direction.
* Must be able to effectively communicate with others in a pleasant manner.
* Field data collection experience using Trimble GPS software/equipment is a plus.
* Experience using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator a plus.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Maintain a strong customer service focus.
* Ability to multi-task by prioritizing workload and shifting attention among changing priorities.
* Logical and analytical with good problem solving skills.
* Ability to function under pressure in a highly dynamic environment.
* Firmly adheres to the values and ethics of Applus+. Exhibits honesty, discretion, and sound judgment.
* Possess excellent communication skills to convey information to customers and colleagues effectively, verbally and written.

Education and Work Experience:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* 2-5 years of work experience in relevant systems, or education / certification combined equivalent
* Prior experience in related field/industry highly desired.

Certificates and Licenses Required:
* Must meet minimum company requirements to operate a company vehicle and be eligible for coverage under Company insurance program.
