Job Title: Rope Access/Non-Destructive Testing Manager

Job Location: Broussard, Louisiana

Intertek provides specialists and engineering support in all areas of Asset Integrity Management, including design, process safety, mechanical integrity, inspection and maintenance, operational and process support, corrosion, metallurgy, and risk analysis.

We are seeking a Rope Access Manager (SPRAT Level I, II, or III) with extensive NDE experience to work at the Broussard, Louisiana facility. This position will be responsible for managing field technicians and assisting the engineering group with inspections and inspection data for various offshore facilities in the Gulf of Mexico. Relocation to the Broussard office area is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

· Perform supervisory functions including scheduling, tracking attendance, approving time sheets, and employee performance appraisals.
· Has an overall responsibility for the day to day rope access work. Must comply with the responsibilities set forth in the Intertek Rope Access Quality Assurance and Control Procedures.
· Schedule field crews for deployment to offshore facilities, as well as their return to home base.
· Work a rotational on-call schedule which is typically for a one week interval, every 3rd week. The on-call manager is responsible for fielding all after hours calls for the Broussard, Louisiana location.
· Perform project management duties including but not limited to, interfacing with engineering team and field technicians, and attending pre-job meetings with engineers and technicians on an as-needed basis.
· General tasks will also include, reviewing JSA’s, BBS forms, updating drivers for personnel/equipment runs, preparing gear for crews, generating/replying to emails, assisting engineers with interpreting field data, reviewing and interpreting film, answering phones, coordinating training, maintaining/monitoring ISNET status of field personnel, coordinating crew changes, ordering equipment/consumables, audits, maintaining equipment checks/calibrations, administering annual refreshers, annual eye exams, NDT exams, RT camera wipe tests, interfacing/meeting with clients, and assisting with onboarding of new personnel.
· Maintain rope access equipment registers.
· Maintain rope access gear, and rope washing as needed.
· Maintain climbing logbook per SPRAT/IRATA guidelines and ensure field personnel is doing same.
· Interface with client(s) on technical matters involving Rope Access and NDE procedures and capabilities.
· Provide a professional appearance when interfacing with clients and other coworkers.
· Stay abreast of any new developments in NDE technologies and Rope Access technologies that may be applicable in our business.
Skills:
Qualifications:

Required:

· Current SPRAT/IRATA certification (Level I, II, or III).
· ASNT Level II certification in Radiography Testing (RT profile) and Ultrasonic Testing-Thickness.
· Experience in inspection of pressure vessels and pressure piping.
· Dependable – must be able to be on-call on nights/weekends as needed (typically every 3rd week).
· Must have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
· Must be a well-organized individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Must be able to drive a vehicle at night.
· Interpersonal skills – must have the ability to solve problems amongst numerous groups/personnel.
· Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications.
· Valid TWIC card and Driver's License.
· Ability to pass physician’s exam.
· Must be able to lift a minimum of 52 pounds from a lower to a higher position.
· Must be able to provide clear and technical guidance to technicians and subcontractors.

Preferred:

· Bachelor’s Degree or technical diploma.
· 10+ years of offshore inspection experience or equivalent inspection experience.
· API-510, 570, 653.
· Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) certified.
· Penetrant Testing (PT) certified.
· RT Weld Quality experience a plus.
· Complementary Metal Oxide Sensor(CMOS) experience.
