The SIS NDE Specialist will be responsible for technical implementation and operational support of Specialist Inspection Services (SIS) advanced NDE technologies, with specific emphasis on advanced ultrasonic testing (UT) methods and systems, including AUT, PAUT, and TOFD.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

-Be thoroughly familiar with the scope, capabilities, and limitations of the advanced ultrasonic testing methods/techniques in which certified.
-Prepare for and execute inspection jobs appropriate to Level II certification in the applicable advanced ultrasonic testing methods.
-Perform advanced ultrasonic examinations of onshore, offshore and subsea components related to oil, gas and petrochemical industry processes and structures.
Possess and/or be available to obtain Rope Access Level I certification. Perform inspection tasks under the supervision of a Rope Access certified Level III.
-Responsible for equipment, maintenance, relevant document control as well as mentoring/training of junior level technicians. 
-Assist and support SIS Management in day to day activities.
-Assist clients with their inquiries.
-Continue training to receive qualifications in other conventional and advanced NDE methods and technologies. 
-Work alongside the SIS Technical Management team in maintaining procedures relating to the relevant discipline and assist with generating techniques.
-Travel to client sites and/or other facilities both onshore (50%) and offshore (50%).
Skills:
REQUIRED
-High School Diploma or equivalent.
-Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in NDE and Advanced UT methods.
-Minimum certification to UT Level II, PAUT Level II and ToFD Level II per ASNT-TC-1A or CP-189 required.
-Minimum certification to SPRAT Rope Access Level I or able to obtain this certification
-Basic knowledge and understanding of product manufacturing and inspection technology.
-Valid driver’s license
-Must be able to obtain:
Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)
Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET)
SafeGulf Training
Valid passport
Other safety related certifications
-Must have ability to meet company certification standards.
-Complete knowledge of Microsoft Office.
-Familiar with Industry Standard Application Software, as well as manufacturer specific advanced NDE technology application software.

DESIRED
-Previous experience specific to Advanced UT techniques for both in-service and new construction applications.
-Third party UT certifications such as ACCP, PCN, CSWIP, API QUTE, etc.
-Associates Degree in NDE or Bachelor in technical curriculum (e.g., Engineering, Industrial, Sciences, etc.)
