Applied Technical Services Inc. We currently have openings for entry level NDT Assistants to help support our Charlotte, NC location.

In this position, you will be expected to assist NDT Level II Technicians complete different types of NDT inspections both in our facility as well as in the field (client sites).

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in successfully executing projects in the pulp and paper, petroleum, chemical/refinery, and fabrication industries.

Applicants must complete a drug screen and have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record

Work Conditions :
◾Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
◾May be required to travel to client locations and sites
◾Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
◾Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodations.
◾Long shifts, up to and including 14 hours.
◾The ability to stand on ones feet for extended periods of time.
◾Exposure to extreme climate conditions, including excessive heat and cold, for long periods of time.

Skills:
Education:
High School Diploma with 1 to 2 years of experience or willing to train in non-destructive testing (NDT)

Minimum Qualifications to be considered:
◾Strong organizational skills
◾Shop math and print reading skills
◾Ability to use computers for data entry
◾Working knowledge of manufacturing processes
◾Ability to effectively communicate with other departments, and customers to solve problems
◾Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures
◾Excellent communication skills written and verbal
