We are seeking NDT Assistant Technicians for our Richmond, VA office.

Summary:

The NDT Assistant will be responsible for assisting with lab and field inspections and supporting customers on a daily basis at various sites. Assist in collection, management and evaluation of test data for accuracy and consistency. Assist in maintaining and reporting test results. Assist in completing reports and documentation as required.
Must be able to learn to read technical documents and engineering specifications. Proven ability to follow precise directions and procedures. Work safely; maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company policies and procedures. Proven ability to adapt to an ever-changing schedule. Individuals must have the highest standards for quality and a desire to advance through ATS renowned training programs and through experience gained on the job.

Duties and Responsibilities:
◾Assisting in successfully executing projects in the pulp and paper, petroleum, chemical/refinery and fabrication industries. Assisting in generating a high-quality final report for clients.

Applicants must complete a drug screen and have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record

Work Conditions :
◾Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
◾May be required to travel to client locations and sites
◾Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
◾Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodations.
◾Long shifts, up to and including 14 hours.
◾The ability to stand on ones feet for extended periods of time.
◾Exposure to extreme climate conditions, including excessive heat and cold, for long periods of time.
Skills:
Education:
High School Diploma and willing to train on non-destructive testing (NDT) also dimensional and performance testing procedures.

Minimum Qualifications to be considered
◾Strong organizational skills
◾Shop math and print reading skills
◾Ability to use computers for data entry
◾Working knowledge of manufacturing processes
◾Ability to effectively communicate with other departments, and customers to solve problems
◾Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures
◾Excellent communication skills written and verbal
◾A state card in gamma radiography
