Barracuda Specialty Service is currently looking for qualified Level I and II Radiographers to help support our operations nationwide.

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION

The Radiographer aids the team in performing industrial radiography work performed for various clients throughout West Texas & New Mexico.

JOB SUMMARY

The RT Radiographer aids in conducting pipeline inspections, above ground tank inspections and fabrication inspections; assists with daily reports.

• Performs all work with the highest regard to site and personal safety.
• Meets our customer’s expectations through commitment to quality and working collaboratively with management and various other customer and SGS stakeholders.
• Demonstrates consistent integrity across a broad range of tasks and customer requirements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED required
• A minimum of 40 hours radiation safety training (documentation or state card required)
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a criminal background check and drug/ alcohol screening
• Candidate must be able to pass FBI Fingerprint criminal background investigation

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Helps to arrange and calibrate equipment and materials
• Aids in performing Nondestructive and other tests and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations
• Assists with the organization, evaluation and documentation of radiation inspection results daily
• Helps to conduct radio-graphic tests

PHYSICAL FACTORS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

• Ability to lift objects up to 60 pounds
• Ability to perform tasks and focus at elevated heights up to 100 feet
• Ability to work in different working conditions, including outdoors in extreme cold and heat
• Some travel may be required
• TWIC card
• Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures
• Excellent communication skills written and verbal
