Loenbro is currently seeking qualified NDT Level II UT phased Array Technician to support our operations in the Permian Region We provide a wide range of services in many industries including: Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Pipeline, Power Generation, Pulp and Paper, Construction, Fabrication etc.

You will be performing calibrations, NDT Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results. Must be familiar with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT and being used and should exercise assigned responsibility for on the job training and guidance of Assistants and Level I technicians.

Interested applicants should be dynamic, and willing to take on other operational functions as they become necessary. This is a full-time, permanent position located in Midland/Odessa Texas area.

Job Duties:

Performing inspection work in both field and shop settings
Demonstrating Loenbro capabilities to prospective clients
Set up and calibrate NDT testing equipment
Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects using NDT methods of inspection
Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specification or standards and evaluate results
Organize and report test results
Assisting in regional business development
Technical support
Provide technical support/consultation to clients
Compile inspection results and create recommendation reports
Mentorship of new employees
Administration of Loenbro training program
Ensuring Loenbro policies and procedures are adhered to
Any and all duties related to the success of Loenbro Inspection
Ability to travel
Skills:
Level II or Level III Certification in MT, VT, PT, UT, and PAUT
3 or more years of experience within the field preferred
Familiarity with ASME Section VIII, B31.1, B31.3; in particular, fracture mechanics-based acceptance criteria
Proficient with OmniScan MX2 and/or M2M Gekko instrument(s)
Experience with Microsoft Office 365, particularly Microsoft Word
Excellent communication skills
Strong work ethic
Willingness to work both in field and office settings
Familiarity with pressure vessel inspection and fracture mechanics-based procedural acceptance criteria
Ability to work in a high production, fast moving environment
Ability to pass a stringent practical exam
