This position's primary responsibility is to apply a level of expertise, skill, and licensing to support the Field Sites to rectify problems in aircraft maintenance. The position also requires those same elements to be applied in support of over and above contractual requirements.

Essential Functions

Working closely with the C-12 (King Air) Field Technicians to assist in determining the cause of discrepancies they are having difficulty solving and identifying the required material to make repairs.
Developing repair plans including cost estimates in the form of Scopes of Work for eventual submittal to the Government for authority and funding to proceed.
Developing Maintenance Engineering/Alert Directives for special inspections, repairs and modifications on C-12 aircraft.
Performing and maintaining the Non-Destructive Testing (NDI) Program as identified by Raytheon Aircraft Corporation (RAC) Structural Inspection & Repair Manual (SIRM) for the C-12 aircraft.  
Maintaining databases for various tracking requirements.
Traveling to field sites to perform maintenance requirements beyond the capability and/or licensing authority of the field technicians.
Examples of Work 

Examples of work performed in this classification include, but are not limited to the following the following task.  Those that are listed under the examples of work are not all inclusive; they are examples only and may be amended or added to as needed by the organization. 

Assist field technicians via telephone, email, or site visits in the troubleshooting and/or repair of aircraft airframe or engine systems to prescribed specifications using FAA or Service regulations, Maintenance Manuals, blueprints and other data.
Develop and transmits via written and electronic format repair plans and cost estimates via “Scopes of Work” in electronic written form with follow up on maintenance efforts.
Develop and transmits via written and electronic format Maintenance Alert/Engineering Directives.
Travels to field sites worldwide to perform special inspections on aircraft and /or its systems.
Travels to field sites to perform Level II and Level III Non Destructive Inspections (NDI).
Maintains databases for upcoming Propeller TBO’s and special inspections to ensure they are not “overflown”.
Researches replacement parts when necessary.
Exhibits positive courteous behavior with customers, businesses and coworkers.
Assists coworkers and those in other departments to successfully perform job tasks and functions when necessary.  
Follows all safety procedures and practices as established by the Company and regulatory bodies.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Graduation from a standard four (4) year high school or equivalent (GED) AND five (5) years of experience in work related to the above-described examples.  Must have three (3) years King Air experience.  Must have a FAA airframe and Powerplant License with a Inspection Authorization Certificate.
