RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform visual inspection, Dye Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), vacuum Box Testing (VBT), and interpret radiographs
• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment as required
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Inspect and evaluate welds according to specified inspection procedures, standards, codes, and drawings
• Organize and report test results
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management
• Interpret and review engineering drawings as required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or GED
• Must possess current AWS CWI with at least 5 years of experience as AWS CWI
• Must possess current NDT Level 2 certification in PT and MT
• At least 5 years of experience in conducting weld inspection, dye penetrant testing, magnetic particle testing and film interpretation
• Basic computer skills: Microsoft applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Have previous experience in construction of storage tanks, piping system, pipelines and structural erection
• Must be a US citizen or green card holder
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Technical background in NDT methods, procedures and equipment for welding inspection, penetrant testing, magnetic particle testing, x-ray testing and vacuum testing
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
• Working knowledge of computer programs (Work, Excel, etc)
• Ability to prioritize and complete work assignments by deadline
• Ability to communicate with customers, supervisor and co-workers
• Possess effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills
• Knowledge of ASME, API, AWS, ASTM standards
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or run
• Ability and willingness to work overtime and on weekends if needed
• Willing to relocate to Guam
• With personal computers with associated software (Microsoft office)
