NDT Level II Inspector (MT, PAUT, PT and RT)
Island CERTS Corp, a Guam-based inspection company is looking for experienced AWS CWI to provide NDE services in their various clients in Guam and CNMI
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Perform Vacuum Box Testing (VBT), Dye Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Phased-Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) or x-ray testing
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Organize and report test results
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management
• Interpret and review engineering drawings as required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or GED
• At least 5+ years of experience as a NDE Level II inspector
• Must possess current ASNT or ACCP level II certification in ultrasonic (UT) including phased array (PAUT), MT, PT, and RT
• Basic computer skills: Microsoft applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Have previous experience in construction of storage tanks, piping system, pipelines and structural erection
• Must be a US citizen or green card holder
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Technical background in NDT methods, procedures and equipment for vacuum box testing, penetrant testing, magnetic particle testing and x-ray testing
• Operational experience of utilizing PAUT systems for the inspection of weldments
• Experience in operating Olympus Omniscan MX-2 and SX
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
• Working knowledge of computer programs (Work, Excel, etc)
• Ability to prioritize and complete work assignments by deadline
• Ability to communicate with customers, supervisor and co-workers
• Possess effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills
• Knowledge of API, AWS, ASME, ASTM standards
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or run
• Ability and willingness to work overtime and on weekends if needed
• Willing to stay in Saipan for at least 2 months without break
• With personal computers with associated software (Microsoft office)
