This role will be assisting NDT Techs. The work will consist of inspections on structures, pipelines, and materials using x-ray, ultrasound or other related equipment.

Essential Functions

•Assist in setup, utilize equipment for non-destructive testing of components and materials in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and procedures.

•Assist in the process of performing non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections, such as gamma radiography, x-ray radiography (RT), magnetic particle (MT), liquid penetrant (PT), ultrasonic (UT), and visual inspections (VT).

•Assist in the NDT examination techniques. This would consist of preparation, load, and calibrations of equipment used in the non-destructive testing of products or materials.

•Assist in the identification of defects in materials using testing techniques.

•Will have the opportunity train and learn from the Techs.

•Follow instructions to ensure safety of entire team.

•Be a Team Player.

•Mechanical – Have some basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.

High school graduate or GED required
Certification and Licensure - 40 Hr. Radiation Safety Cert.
Valid driver’s license.

Prefer some previous work experience and knowledge as an assistant.
