MISTRAS is hiring a PCMS Engineer for work in the Clear Lake/Houston, TX area.

The PCMS Engineer is a competent person with strong refining or petrochemical plant industry experience in materials & corrosion, inspection processes, PCMS and other IDMS applications, and risk-based inspection. This role is responsible for the execution of RBI initiatives, RBI configuration, implementation and review of damage mechanisms and inspection plans generated by the IDMS. The PCMS Engineer will work closely with all members of the PCMS Implementation groups to ensure quality deliverables and overall improvement in policies, procedures and processes.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
• Contractor will provide PCMS expertise and implementation services including the following details:
• Participate in inspection planning and management activities, providing PCMS implementation guidance and expertise
• Investigate, recommend solutions for, and resolve issues found in the PCMS implementation (either as a result of customer or
one of its other contractors)
• Support efforts to define and buildout the customer PCMS Implementation Manual
• Support customer efforts to implement PCMS standardization
• Resource will support customer systemization and circuitization efforts. This could also include PCMS loading,
configuration, and setup.
• Resource will provide consultancy related to PCMS to the best of his or her ability. Subject Matter Experts from the Mistras
Technical & Consulting Team will be leveraged if and when needed to ensure that customer receives an accurate and
complete reply to each issue or concept.
• Resource will work with customer to receive approval of work priorities, ensuring that customer understands the impact of
work prioritization upon ongoing activities.
• Resource will be available to customer for other needs related to PCMS as they arise.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering/inspection experience preferred
• Experience working in and managing projects in accordance with common RBI methodologies
• Knowledge of API 510, 570, 571, 579, 580, 581, 650 and 653 is an advantage
• Knowledge of ASME VIII Div. 1 & 2, and ASME B31 codes is an advantage
• Must be knowledgeable in plant engineering and equipment data (specifications, equipment/piping drawings, vendor data
packages, engineering/construction terminology)
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access etc.)
• Working knowledge of RBI software (PCMS, Capstone, API RBI, S-RBI) is an advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willing to travel 20%

• Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs.
