MISTRAS Group, Inc. is hiring a Center of Excellence Regional Manager – Mechanical Services Western Gulf Coast.

Center of Excellence (COE) is a focused approach that solves problems in a specific industry or inspection methodology by
synthesizing traditional, innovative and advanced techniques along with standardized processes, procedures and reporting.
The Mechanical COE Regional Manager is responsible for the overall strategy, process improvement, sales, growth and
success of MISTRAS for mechanical services throughout the Company. This will be achieved through strong application
related knowledge and use of MISTRAS Services portfolio. He/she will participate in marketing activities and will be a key
driver of customer relationships. The COE Regional Manager will work with our network of labs to supply expertise that
will best serve the customer base and will participate in marketing activities driving strong customer relationships. Aside
from revenue metrics and other key performance indicators, strong attention must be placed on safety, professionalism,
service and efficiency of operations. The position will be based out of the MISTRAS Deer Park office.

BUSINESS OBJECTIVES:

To expand upon the MISTRAS "One Source Asset Protection Solutions" marketing initiative
and increase market share through integration of mechanical services across our business units. Strategic, measurable,
achievable and realistic goals are to be established. These will be achieved from a strong management infrastructure
assessing and mitigating risk, selecting the proper personnel/equipment resources and ensuring compliance with all
applicable local, state and federal regulations.


ACTION PLANNING:

Visiting current worksites will provide the information required to formulate a cost savings business proposal. This proposal will demonstrate the efficiency of MISTRAS’ "One Source Asset Protection Solutions".


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

• Responsible for delivery of all aspects of the above-mentioned business objectives, position summary and action
planning.
• Business development initiatives that develop and maintain a detailed strategic plan that targets and drives
business growth.
• Onsite audits.
• Competitor analysis.
• Recruitment and training of employees in the Houston area to support MISTRAS’ Mechanical Services initiatives,
companywide.
• Site walk-downs, formulating pricing models in support of major customer proposals.
• Management oversight of integration and development of services.
• Works effectively with MISTRAS offices and staff at all levels to plan, organize, lead, assign and evaluate the
resources necessary to deliver on growth/revenue targets.
• Champion safety and protection of MISTRAS personnel including but not limited to ensuring close adherence
to MISTRAS policies, procedures and practices (e.g. safety, HR, quality and training). Ensures compliance with
applicable laws, regulations and standards as applicable.
• Work hand-in-hand with the sales team, lab managers, regional managers and COE managers in identifying
new business development targets, maintaining client relationships, performing contract review negotiations
and developing pricing strategies.
• Works with the marketing team to develop multi-media marketing material for the mechanical industry within
MISTRAS.
• Develop and deliver presentations to customers, attend customer/vendor safety meetings, attend conferences or
professional association meetings and carry out other proactive customer relationship-building activities.
• Utilize key performance indicators to increase customer value.
• Assist in formulating the Mechanical COE’s annual business plan, forecast and budget.
• Cultivate and instill best practices and improve processes.
• Regularly interacts with MISTRAS management and other stakeholders to coordinate activities, report progress
and suggest programmatic improvements.
• Minimum of 35-50% travel expected.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 10 years industry experience. Key experience areas include but are not limited to insulation, hydro
and grit blasting, industrial coatings, rigging, scaffold erection, bolting/torqueing.
• Rope Access experience is required and certification is a plus.
• Must have high initiative, high energy and be capable of exemplary leadership.
• Effective communicator.
• Demonstrate experience developing business strategies.
• Ability to locate, understand and apply technical standards and specifications, industrial safety regulations,
procedures as well as company or customer policies, procedures and work instructions.
• Must possess an understanding of MISTRAS’ advanced technology offerings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service and problem resolution skills.
• Valid driver’s license within the state of primary residence without restrictions and a valid passport or the
ability to obtain one within 90 days.
• Able to travel by any means (air, rail, ship, ground, etc.), without geographical limitations (county or state
boundaries, international travel, etc.) or other restrictions that might interfere with logistics.
• Ability to use or learn a vast array of computer functions.
• Estimating and planning capabilities.
