Position Purpose

• A Senior Advanced Pipeline Integrity Technician shall have the skills and knowledge to set up and organize basic customer job site requirements, calibrate equipment, to conduct tests, and to interpret, evaluate, and document results in accordance with procedures approved by the responsible Level 3 with respect to applicable codes, specifications, and standards. The level 2 shall be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the test method and shall exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job (OJT) training and guidance of trainees and Level 1 personnel including daily time keeping and communication (verbal and written). It is desirable for this position to have at least 1 year of pipeline integrity specific experience, but not always necessary.
• This position is a travelling position with expectations of being away from the home office location for 80% to 85% of the billable projects being supported.
• This position holder is expected to be responsible for the completion of inspection, including initial interpretation, reporting and timesheet / time entry to support project invoicing in coordination with the Operations Team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct yourself with a safety first mind set at all times, and making sure to complete all JSA’s required for every job site you are assigned to.
• Have the skills and knowledge to set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results.
• Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method being deployed.
• Both traditional NDE disciplines, and more advanced tools and techniques.
• Have the skills and knowledge to conduct systems performance checks and calibrations in accordance with the applicable process standard and IAG quality program requirements.
• Capable of providing the necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees and level I personnel.
• Be familiar with the codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the methods as used by IAG or customer sites.
• When specified in the written practice, be capable of developing work instructions from the approved general procedures. Such work instructions shall require final approval by a level 1 certified in the method.
• Have a basic knowledge of the relevant manufacturing processes and inspection technology.
• Daily communication with the client contacts, IAG project team members, QA/QC auditing team, and Operations team to report status updates or request additional support.
• Perform daily time entry to track hours, equipment applied, mileage, consumables, per diem and lodging.
• Daily interaction with our iScout system to complete the daily, weekly, and ad hoc forms that are required as part of the daily duties for each employee for billable and non-billable activities assigned.
• Daily interaction with our PITware, OneDrive, and Sharepoint folder structures to update / upload / download required data, photographs, reports, and other relevant documents on a daily and weekly basis as defined by assigned duties, JIS, or NBTA documents.
• Submit bi-weekly or monthly expense reports based on client and project requirements as directed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Operates tools and equipment to accomplish job assignments and client requirements
• Inspect and interpret readings as required in real time, to determine areas of interest.
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications
• Set-up and calibrate all equipment used, interpret, evaluate, and document results through formal reports
• Safely Operates company vehicles and strictly adhere to company safety regulations
• Direct, mentor, and train personnel in the method(s) in which certified and capable of
• Provide direction and guidance with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the company and client
• Responsible for all paperwork to be turn in a timely manner including safety forms, company required forms, customer forms, and timesheets
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism, and promote a positive customer service attitude internally and externally
• Follow and enforce the Company required safe work practices and procedures at all times

• Enforce and abide the requirements of safe operation and personal safety using required Personal Protective Equipment and Safe Practices per company policy
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

• Mentor and train coworkers assigned to you through on the job training in safe work practices, technical skills and compliance with company policy
• Ensure a safe, secure, and legal work environment for all staff ensuring all company policies are being followed
• Support the development of professional and personal growth for each technician you work with.
• Provide suggestions for improvement, and encourage the positive problem solving nature of working through issues with all fellow IAG employees in both senior and junior positions.
Skills:
Education and Work Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Technical Background in NDT methods and techniques required
o Magnetic Particle Testing
o Ultrasonic Testing – Shear Wave and Lamination scanning
• Minimum of 3+ years of NDT experience with full documentation of prior training, experience and certification is required
o ASNT Eddy Current Testing Level II (Surface) - Optional
o ASNT Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing Level II
o AUT Corrosion Mapping Certification – Optional
o Creaform 3D Laser Scanning Certification (40hrs)
o Eddyfi ECA/TECA Certification (OEM)
o Time Of Flight Diffraction (TOFD) Documented Training and Certification – Optional
• Pipeline inspection activities involving one or more of the following project scenarios:
o ILI validation or anomaly dig projects
o Recoating or Rehabilitation dig projects
o Direct Assessment related dig projects
o Additional special projects or immediate / emergency response dig projects
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Certificates and Licenses Required
• ASNT Level II certification: UT shear wave, MT, OPTIONAL - PT
• ASNT Level II certification in: Phased Array UT, plus two additional advanced methods including TOFD, Laser, Eddyfi Spyne/Sharck, AUT Corrosion Mapping
• Must meet minimum company requirements to operate a company vehicle and be eligible for coverage under Company insurance program
