The Vibration Engineer provides engineering services to SRP in a technically sound, safe, timely and cost effective manner to enable SRP to realize its goals and objectives for providing water and energy related services.

Job Responsibilities:
•    Possess Vibration Analysis Certification by American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Level 3 or International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Category 3 Certification with 5 Years of field experience, and CBM/PdM work experience.
•    Possess broad knowledge of time waveforms, FTT's and phase analysis techniques for evaluation of industrial machinery, acceptance testing, machinery severity assessment, single plane balancing, and turbo machinery vibration analysis
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Possess broad knowledge of power plant operations and maintenance
•    Knowledge of preventative maintenance requirements for rotating equipment and lubricated systems
•    Experience specifying vibration systems including transmitters, probes, accelerometers and associated hardware.
•    Experience in installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment such as centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, turbines, gear boxes, rotary blowers, pumps, chillers, motors, and lubricated systems
•    Ability to use Engineering Performance Standards or equivalent when estimating man- hours
•    RCA participation - provides relevant vibration and oil analysis history to support root cause analysis efforts
•    Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System software (CMMS) such as Maximo is highly desired
•    Strong computer and standard software experience (MS Office, E-Mail, CMMS, etc.)
Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from ABET accredited university

Responsible for project budgets and schedules. Occasional contacts with customers and outside agencies. Contacts with suppliers of equipment and services. Occasional travel to suppliers facilities, industry organizational functions and SRP facilities. Ability to work effectively with various organizational groups within SRP. Ability to use engineering tools required for the job (i.e., computer, test equipment, etc.).
