Position Purpose:
The temporary NDT QA/QC Inspector position is a critical component of the inspection process, coordinating inspections by assisting the Level III, in preparation of method statements and Technical Work Instruction, related to various welding jobs, according to local legal requirements and to contractual agreements. This is a remote position supporting project work in Amarillo, Texas.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Establish, review for editorial and technical correctness, and validate NDT instructions and procedures.
* Choose the particular test methods, procedures, and NDT instructions to be used.
* Set up and verify NDT equipment settings.
* Perform and supervise tests.
* Record and classify the results of the tests according to written criteria.
* Interpret and evaluate results according to applicable standards, codes, specifications or procedures.
* Report the results of NDT inspections.
* Assume full responsibility for a test facility or examination centre and staff.
* Realize technical reports & quality audits, analyzing root causes of non-conformities or incidents with the aim of proposing solutions and improvements.
* Provide guidance for NDT personnel at all levels.
* Carry out and supervise all tasks at all levels;
* Represent the company as a recognized expert in discussions regarding NDT with our customers, vendors, and production plant personnel worldwide.
* Select NDT methods, establish NDT techniques, and assist in establishing acceptance criteria

Education and Work Experience:
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience with inspection Coordination experience is a must.
* Knowledge of inspection methods, standards, and procedures in UT, MT, VT.
* UT level II required for oversight duties.
* High school diploma required.
* Associate and/or Bachelor's Degree (preferred but not necessary) in a related field of work; or a combination of two to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Software: Encompass (document retention system) experience, a plus.
* Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
