Intertek’s Industry Services team provides technical solutions that help customers maximize operational efficiency, ensure asset reliability, improve quality, and minimize safety risks. Some of our many service areas include inspection, non-destructive and materials testing, technical training, engineering, surveying, QA/QC, and supplier auditing.

As a Pipe/Coating Inspector you will be responsible for conducting inspection activities in pipe mills, coating mills and/or loading/unloading/stockpile locations in accordance with client, Intertek and industry procedures, specifications, and other requirements necessary for achieving the desired levels of quality, as it pertains to the project or assignment. Location will vary based on project location.

Duties:

· Perform inspection activities, using tools necessary for accurate measurement and determination of compliance to specifications.
· Provide daily inspection results to the Lead Inspector or Project Coordinator, preparing and issuing inspection reports, when required.
· Witness testing and monitor project activities, as required.
· Cooperate in all matters relating to the proper functioning of the company’s Quality System, including internal reviews, training, audits etc. and report in a timely manner any errors or omissions found in the company issued documentation (assignments, work instructions, specifications, standards, procedures, etc.), as well as knowledge of customer dissatisfaction.
· Be aware of and comply with company policies and procedures with respect to health, safety, and environmental issues and be a safety advocate for the project.
Skills:
·Past experience with pipe manufacturing or coating application.
·Fluent in English (i.e. reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension).
· Proficient in Microsoft Office.
· Familiarity with email and internet communication systems.
· Detail oriented and able to work well with others.
· Good interpersonal and demonstrated communication skills, both verbally and written.
· The ability to multi-task and work under time constraints is critical. Must have sense of urgency.
· Must be self-motivated with good organizational and time management skills.
· High degree of personal integrity and the ability to collaborate with others.
· Be aware of all health and safety aspects when working on location.
· Must have reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License.
