Roles and Responsibilities

Responsible for surveillance of NDE personnel certifications
Train NDE Level 1 and 2 inspectors
Provide NDE technical support to value stream shops for Radiographic NDT method
Implement NDE techniques and planning on the shop floor
Coordinate implementation of NDE MRB activities
Perform site assessments and leadership in value stream audits
Maintain processes and equipment needed to support next generation manufacturing processes
Work closely with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering organizations meeting all business commitments
Skills:
Qualifications/Requirements

NAS-410 Level 3 qualifications to attain certification in Radiographic (film) method, documented NDE training and certification records
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science)
At least 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing NDT, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science

Desired Characteristics

Technical or Associates degree in NDE or 5+ years of qualified experience in the Radiographic (film) method
NAS-410 Level 3 certification in other (PT, MT, UT, ET, or digital RT) NDT methods
Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification or extensive quality experience
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science
Extensive NDE application skills with 10+ years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment
Strong teamwork skills or experience in a teaming environment
Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools, drawing interpretation, and systems
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills


This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
