Position Overview
Acuren Inspection is now hiring Rope Access Level III Technicians local to the La Porte, TX area for full-time positions.
Responsibilities: Included, but not limited to:
Perform specific job functions as they relate to work orders
Have a comprehensive knowledge of advanced rescue techniques
Be able to demonstrate all the skills and knowledge required of Level III Rope Access Technician
Assist other technicians as required
Ensure operational safety of all equipment
Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
Interpret radiographs
Organize and report test results
Perform specialized inspections
May instruct and supervise others
Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management
Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Some college preferred
IRATA/SPRAT Level 3 Certification required including proficiency in theoretical knowledge, equipment and rigging, maneuvers, climbing and rescue/hauling
40 Hour Radiation Safety Certification a plus
NDT Level II Certifications MT, PT, UTT, Preferred
State Card Highly Preferred
40 Hour Radiation Safety Certification Required
Additional PMI is a plus
Valid drivers’ license required
Valid TWIC required
