Construction Quality Control Senior Inspector. This position will report directly to the Nuclear Quality Assurance Manager and is responsible for providing hands-on inspection and inspection oversight services to support the site quality program on the project. The individual in this position is responsible for performing inspections of new fabrication and/or equipment installation and for the oversight of the SHINE and Contractor Quality Assurance Programs, which includes the coordination, performance and execution of construction inspection and testing services for the project. The QC Senior Inspector is responsible for assuring that the quality of the work meets or exceeds the project’s contractual requirements and maintains the standard of excellence established by SHINE.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Reviewing the project technical requirements such as the prime contract, applicable codes, standards, and specifications
Performing inspections of new fabrication at supplier facilities and/or inspection of equipment installation at the project site
Providing guidance and instruction of the physical inspection of a variety of discipline activities which may include but is not limited to: welding, piping, civil, concrete, buildings, fixed and rotating equipment, electrical, control systems, coatings, insulation, and non-destructive testing to determine compliance with applicable specifications, drawings, procedures, codes, and standards
Ensuring contractor implementation of the non-conformance reporting program
Qualifications:

7-10 years of experience in construction quality assurance/quality control and a minimum of two years in nuclear construction quality control or similar strong requirements-driven industry
Ability to communicate effectively with engineering staff, subcontractors and inspection staff
Certifications including, but not limited to: AWS-CWI, ANSI/ASME N45.2.6, ASNT SNT-TC-1A, are preferred
Candidates with a degree are preferred
