Position Summary:
Under the guidance of certified NDE/NDT technicians, the NDT Assistant will provide support by setting up and utilizing NDT equipment, assist in performing NDE/NDT procedures, assist with recording inspection results, and other related operations.
Responsibilities:
• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
• Assist NDE/NDT technicians in the calibration of NDT equipment
• Assist NDE/NDT technicians to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Record results of inspections
• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management
