Position Purpose:

* Applus RTD is currently recruiting for experienced AUT operators who have onshore and/or offshore girth weld inspection experience. The ideal candidate will have a professional, flexible attitude, have an appetite for development and success plus hold 1 of the following: CGSB/PCN/ISO 9712 certifications in UT and MT (SNT-TC-1A certifications however will be considered). In addition, one must hold or be able to obtain the required certifications to work offshore i.e. medical and sea survival.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Ability to determine proper inspection criteria/protocol based on industry standards (API, DNV, ASME) and client specific requirements.
* Advance Service project experience.
* The Inspector will utilize advanced UT NDT Methods, Techniques, and equipment.
* Inspect and interpret ultrasonic recordings of assemblies and weldments including those having high stress, temperatures or pressure limits. Analyze and interpret indications of flaws, defects, normal discontinuities or interference. Detect and identify all flaws and defects including exact size and shape, mark location of defects on material, parts and assemblies and determine acceptability.
* Record inspection results manually or with the aid of a computer or computer based systems.
* Accept or reject items in compliance with fracture control specifications or other critical customer requirements. Order rejection and rework or sign off items as acceptable.
* Perform nondestructive ultrasonic examinations on various materials.
* Mentor, train, and perform technical and performance reviews on assigned subordinate personnel
* Ensure equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and secured at all times per company policy
* Must be able to produce advanced technology reports as per Applus RTD guidelines. Report any deficiencies in operational and service level non-conformances to the Operations Manager as applicable.
* Maintain compliance with company safety procedures and policies including field safety forms completion and submittal
* Properly interpret regulations, codes, and industry standards.
* Identify circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment
* Communicate and deal with customers and other parties in person in such a manner as to benefit the professional reputation of the company
* Maintain a strong customer service focus.
* Complete all required training, including tests, within company guidelines.
* Be proficient with standard computer software (such as MS Office Suite) and be able to write detailed inspection reports while maintaining an organized system of files.
* Maintain a positive relationship between Applus RTD, the facility, and the client.
* Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience:

* High School Diploma or equivalent required.
* Current Level II Certification in Ultrasonic and Magnetic Particle.
* Prefer one advanced NDT technology or service certification such as Phased Array, AUT, TOFD etc.
* A minimum of 2 years field experience.
* Successful candidates must understand the services, maintenance and construction industry and have a proven record of accomplishment.
* Extensive knowledge of industry standards.
* Must have the ability to maintain company and third party certification standards.
* Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
