Responsibilities: The Nondestructive Technologies Laboratory performs fundamental and applied research in several NDT modalities. A candidate is sought for the ultrasonic testing group, where the focus is on ultrasonic imaging, acoustic microscopy, ultrasonic phased array, transducer design, and systems development. A successful candidate will have a strong background in ultrasonic physics, preferably with direct research experience in an area of ultrasonic nondestructive testing, and will work with GE's global teams in the development of ultrasonic NDT processes, products and services.

Requirements: MS or PhD in Engineering, Physics, or Material Science with demonstrated interest and research ability in ultrasonic nondestructive testing or related field.
-Strong theoretical & experimental skills in NDE techniques.
-Self-starter, able to work alone or as a leader/multi-disciplinary team member.
-Strong presentation skills, both written and oral.
-Ability and willingness to learn new techniques and skills and thrive in research environment.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Desired: Experience in ultrasonic NDT, imaging, acoustic microscopy, phased array, guided wave, transducers, cMUTs, UT simulation, data acquisition and, signal processing.
