UT Quality is seeking Multi-Technicians (Level II - UT, MT, PT,VT) to support offshore projects primarily in the Gulf of Mexico region.
MULTI-TECHNICIAN
Description of the position
The Multi-Technician will utilize NDT methods of inspection and evaluate test results in compliance with applicable project specifications for the inspection of new pipeline girth welds. This will include the preparation, set-up and completion of required reporting and test results. In addition, the Multi-Technician may also perform other job-related tasks as assigned by project supervision.
While utilizing their specific skill sets to complete the required work, the Multi-Technician will demonstrate interpersonal, organizational and communication skills to interact effectively with other personnel, both inside and outside the company.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Education and /experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• NDT Level II Certification in a combination of MUT and MT methods: (PT,VT would be an asset)
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures. Minimum two years hands-on experience as a Level II NDT Technician, onshore or offshore.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections.
• Must be able to read and write in English, perform basic mathematical calculations, learn and comprehend company policies, procedures, and safety instructions.
• Ability to use standard software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.
• Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States or be able to fulfill all requirements for a company sponsored TN Visa.
• To be considered for the position, all candidates must hold a current offshore medical certificate or be able to undergo and pass a medical examination which classifies them as medically fit to work in the offshore environment.
