Summary: Applied Technical Services, LLC is currently seeking Contractor Level II UT-SW with MT &/or VT certs for an assignment in Northeastern Alabama for fab shop and mostly AWS D1.1 work. This is a contract assignment working 60-70 hours/week on 6-12’s with per diem. Work will last at least 3 months and has the potential to go much longer.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- The NDT Technician Level II UT-SW/MT/VT will be responsible for supporting customers.
- Collect, manage, and evaluate test data for accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain and report test results.
- Complete reports and documentation as required.
- Must be able to read technical documents and engineering specifications.
- Proven ability to follow precise directions and procedures.
- Work safely; maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Proven ability to adapt to an ever-changing schedule.
Skills:
Fab shop AWS D1.1 experience and Level II certs in UT-SW/MT and/or VT testing equipment, testing procedures, and the ability to perform tests and properly document results.
UT-SW experience and certs required
Ability to use computers for data entry
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes
Ability to effectively communicate with other departments, and customers to solve problems

Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
Applicants must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Work Conditions:
Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.
Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments.
Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time
Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
