We are hiring a UT Examiner for our team in Mount Vernon, Indiana!

The UT Examiner will train, qualify and monitor NDE and UT inspection personnel. This person will attend to shop floor NDE and inspection issues, providing guidance to inspectors and recommendations to Quality Management. The Examiner will be required to perform some Ultrasonic testing (Contact Longitudinal and Shear Wave) and various re-inspections as required by specifications and codes. The person in this role will work closely with NDE Engineers to write or approve NDE procedures and test reports. The successful candidate must be able to minimally travel, work any shift, and obtain security clearance.

Required Qualifications
The desired Candidate should have a 4 year technical degree with strong experience in UT inspection methods as a Level III (an experienced Level II inspector looking to take on a UT program would be considered). Experience in UT and qualification in additional inspection methods may be considered in lieu of a 4 year degree. Candidate must be able to obtain Examiner status in UT within first 18 months of employment.
Additional preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of machining and welding processes, along with those candidates demonstrating experience and working knowledge of military quality assurance standards and other military quality requirements and/or ASME code experience
