Danville Community College is seeking applicants for the position of Nondestructive Testing Director for the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) program. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, delivering instruction, curriculum/lab development, advising students, and working with curriculum developers and industry partners to maintain NDT program relevancy meeting the needs of the Defense Industrial Base. This position will require a driven individual to teach in an accelerated, short-term training program, while also being heavily involved with the day-to-day oversight and vision of success for the NDT program. This is a full-time restricted twelve-month faculty position with benefits. Continued employment is contingent upon funding availability, as this is a grant funded position. This position works at the IALR offices.

Curriculum includes NDT methods Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) and Visual & Optical Testing (VT).

Skills:
· NAVSEA Examiner Certification per Technical Publication T9074-AS-GIB-010/271 preferred; OR
· Current American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Level III certificate in one or more of the following methods: Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) and Visual & Optical Testing (VT) (per ANSI/ASNT CP 189, Paragraph 4.4.1.1); OR
· Bachelor’s degree in Material Science or have academic credentials at least equivalent to a Bachelor of Science in engineering, physical science, or technology and possess adequate knowledge in the NDT method to be taught (per ANSI/ASNT CP 189, Paragraph 4.4.1.2); OR
· An Associate’s degree in science, engineering, NDT or a related field and a minimum of five (5) years of experience as an NDT Level III or II, or equivalent, in one or more NDT methods: Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) and Visual & Optical Testing (VT) (RT, UT, MT, PT, and VT) (ANSI/ASNT CP 189, Paragraph 4.4.1.3); OR
· High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of ten (10) years of NDT experience as an NDT Level III or II, or equivalent, in the NDT method to be taught (per ANSI/ASNT CP 189, Paragraph 4.4.1.4). OR
· Certified as a NAS 410 Level II or Level III in the NDT method to be taught ((per ANSI/ASNT CP 189, Paragraph 4.4.1.4)
