Inspection Services Overview

Specific areas of expertise are the evaluation of pressure equipment in high temperature service, piping, and vessels subject to corrosion under insulation and fireproofing (CUI/CUF), fabrication NDE and inspection of heavy structures and weldments.

Position Overview

The Operations Manager

HSI seeks to hire a professional Operations Manager to run the business in the Southern California market.

• Minimum of five (5) years in a personnel and technical management function in Inspection and/or Nondestructive Examination (NDE) within the Power/Oil/Gas industry.
• Individuals having at least five years’ experience in Operations Management within the Power/Oil/Gas sectors may be considered.
• Must have knowledge of clients and contractors within the subject industries in California.

Primary Responsibilities

Operations Manager (OM) will be responsible for delivering the Company’s services to customers within the Refining, Petrochemical, Petroleum, and Pipeline Industries.

• Responsible for the staffing, technical and field operational aspects of HSI Services.
• Day to day management of technical staff
• Interface directly with client to receive job details, timing, delivery, and quality of HSI services
• Responsible for implementation of HSI Services hardware (Scanners, etc.) as required to meet client requirements
• Meet all training and performance requirements. Participate in continuing training and certification programs.
• Ensure development and training of HSI personnel to ensure that they attain the required skill and technical competency levels for field assignments.
• Work in conjunction with and assist other HSI groups (Administration, Engineering, Safety, Management) to ensure delivery of HSI goals and mission.
• Perform project management for HSI Field Services where required.
• Perform inspection activities as required by company requirements, both nationally and internationally.
• Prepare proposals for projects as necessary in conjunction with the President/Technical Manager.

The candidate will be required to work from the Company’s Head Office location is Torrance, California.
