The Level II NDE Technician & Project RSO will be responsible for the following actions/tasks:

Perform Nondestructive Testing when necessary to ensure quality services are completed;
Provide non-destructive examination in the following methods:
Radiographic Examination;
Liquid Penetrant Examination;
Magnetic Particle Examination;
Ultrasonic Thickness measurements; and,
Positive Material Identification testing.
Establish and calibrate testing equipment and materials;
Calculate, establish, and control the radiation area;
Evaluate and interpret product results to the code of construction or customer specifications;
Responsible for providing training and development of industrial radiation safety practices for each employee of the project in accordance with state, federal, and Company radiation safety practices;
Responsible for adhering to federal, state, and company industrial radiation safety and increase control procedures;
Responsible for performing radiation safety and radioactive material leak detection audits in accordance with governing standards;
Responsible for ensuring every project employee is equipped and familiar with utilizing radiation safety personal protective equipment and the use of ALARA;
Other assignments tasked by the Project Management Team and Corporate Radiation Safety Officer.

Skills:
Required Qualification(s) & Experience

High School Diploma, G.E.D.
Valid U.S. driver's license and able to pass an MVR evaluation.
Valid TWIC TSA background identification card.
Able to pass Fit for Duty Testing and Drug/Alcohol policies/procedures.
Valid State Radiographers card or IRRSP card;
Currently or previously certified in accordance with SNT-TC-1A Level II RT, MT, PT, and UTT methods.
Familiar with applicable welding codes, i.e., ASME, API, AWS, etc.;
Positive Material Identification Certification using the XRF and OES/LIBS equipment.
Has over 2,000 on-the-job training hours focused on industrial radiography.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Has successfully completed the Industrial Radiation Safety Officer training in accordance with applicable standards; and,
Has satisfactorily completed source retrieval training in accordance with applicable standards.
