Position Title: Quality Control and Assurance Specialist

Reports To: General Manager

Department: All

Position Summary: In this position you will be responsible to generate, maintain, monitor, and revise our quality control manual and systems to ensure that the company continues to meet and comply with all mandatory standards, regulations, and responsibilities.

Essential Duties (include but not limited to):

• Standardize, update, control, and maintain all quality, technical and inspection forms.
• Review filing information retention on the company Server.
• Maintain NDT and ISI procedures, NDT standard practice, etc.
• Maintain NDT certifications and qualifications in order and up-to date.
• Coordinate equipment calibrations and updates.
• Coordinate eye exams and documentation.
• Manage special compliance programs (TWIC cards, background checks drug and alcohol screening, etc.)
• Be involved with the OSHA programs (training, maintaining logs, etc.).
• Expedite and check inspection and work reports, travelers, etc. to make sure the job packages are in order.
• Maintain “R” & “U” Stamp programs and assist with completion of ongoing documentation.
• Scrutinize the performance and compliance of the company radiation safety program and coordinate with (3rd party Radiation Safety Officer and staff members)
• Assist with various audits involving our nondestructive testing and mechanical services.
• Assist in the monitoring, establishment, and control of environmental procedures and compliance programs.
• Responsible for the skill development and qualified succession of staff through training and the performance management process.
• Improve, maintain, and monitor record keeping systems in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Develop suitable working relations with sub-contractors and clients to ensure the proper technical and commercial documentation is processed.
• Organize and control the workflow for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of tasks and projects.

Other Duties:

• Assist, as required, the management of the company with special projects.
• Assist and work with NDE Manager when required.
• Perform other duties as required.


Requirements:

• College degree or equivalent experience
• In-depth knowledge of nondestructive testing processes and the development of written processes.
• Supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Agree to pre-employment and random drug alcohol testing.
• Agree to criminal background check.

Beneficial Attributes:

• Technical Degree.
• Related certifications desirable but not required.
• Knowledge of ASME BPVC Section I, V, VIII, IX, B31.1 and B31.3
• Knowledge of relevant API and AWS Codes.

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday: 7:30am - 4:00pm; however, work schedule can vary dependent on client needs.
