Canyon State Inspection Inc. (CSI) is seeking Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Assistants to support our Phoenix & Tucson, AZ. locations. Classroom education in magnetic particle and fluorescent penetrant methods is preferred. This position includes NDT education and training with the opportunity to obtain both Level I and Level II certifications in multiple methods of NDT.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist Level II NDT technicians complete various types of NDT inspections both in our facility as well as clients job sites.

• Set up and breakdown of equipment
• Surface prep
• Assist in applying testing criteria in accordance
with applicable specifications or standards and
evaluate results
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned

Skills Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Classroom hours in MPI & FPI
• Shop math and reading skills
• Must be willing to train in NDT
• Ability to use basic computer functions for data entry
• Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Applicants must complete a drug screen and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Working overtime as requested
