Industrial Inspection & Analysis is looking for an Advanced Shearwave/PAUT Technician to join our Advanced NDE group (preferably located in Salt Lake City, UT; Denver, CO; Omaha, NE; Des Moines, IA; Davenport, IA; or Moline, IL).

The technician will perform hands-on Non-Destructive Testing and Examination (NDT / NDE) at customer sites and / or IIA business locations in support of IIA projects. The technician will perform the applicable NDT method such as Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Shearwave (UTSW), and / or Phased Array (PAUT) based on the associated skill level; assess the integrity of the item inspected with respect to applicable codes, standards and specifications; and report the results to the applicable personnel. Additionally, the technician will support other associated tasks such as job preparation, coordination, mobilization / demobilization, and reporting as directed by their supervisor.

Primary Job Responsibilities

**Ensure compliance with all safety and quality procedures, laws, regulations, and customer requirements. Own personal and overall job site safety stopping the job if required due to unsafe conditions or lack of compliance to quality requirements.
**Perform day to day and routine safety observations and inspections.
**Perform pre-job preparations of equipment, job walkdowns, procedural reviews, etc. as required by the specific work scope.
**Perform hands on NDT / NDE work interfacing with the customer and directing / training Technician Assistants / Apprentices based on the specific work scope.
**Ensure work and used materials are compliant with manufacturer and customer specifications.
**Perform post-job equipment, job walkdowns, procedural reviews, etc. as required by the specific work scope for the completed work and future work scheduled / planned.
**Complete applicable job reports and other paperwork as required / instructed on or before the required date as communicated by the applicable IIA representative.

Skills:
Qualifications

**High school diploma or equivalent.
**Level II in PT, MT, UTSW, PAUT with experience in weld inspection, crack sizing and corrosion mapping.
**Provide verifiable evidence of previous certification, or completion of ASNT recommended training program for applicable method.
**Ability to use semi-automated as well as fully automated scanners is desired.
**Must be well organized, self-motivated and have the ability to lead, train others, and be team and growth focused.
**Willing to travel 60-85% and work in various industries such as railroad, nuclear, O&G, fossil and refineries.
**Able to read, comprehend, and prepare technical specifications and procedures.
**Good interpersonal skills for daily interaction with customers and fellow employees.
**Ability to use basic software and Outlook to generate service reports and communicate within the company including skills to navigate web-based service literature and programs.
**Must have and maintain a current valid driver’s license.
**Take and pass all pre-employment screening, including background and initial and future random drug screening
