We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Level II Phased Array (PAUT) Technician for a long term assignment in the Northeast. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in PAUT (Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing) and hold a valid Level II PAUT certification.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this position you will be expected to perform phased array (PAUT) inspections on various materials and components to detect and evaluate discontinuities, as well as;
• Interpret and analyze PAUT data to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation.
• Conduct regular equipment maintenance and calibration to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures.
• Train and mentor junior technicians in PAUT techniques and best practices.
• Participate in project planning and review meetings to provide insights on quality assurance.
• Ensure all testing is conducted in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and equipment calibration.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Must have a HS diploma/GED or equivalent
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in NDE ( at least 3 yrs. experience performing PAUT).
• Must have strong knowledge of PAUT principles, techniques, and equipment.
• Must have knowledge of relevant industry standards and reglulations
• Must have experience in shipbuilding or heavy fabrications.
• Must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
