PAPER MILLS & WASTE-TO-ENERGY FACILITIES
Hard working individuals with professional demeanor needed to assist field engineers and technicians performing service work in power generation industry. Primary focus is on Paper Mills & Waste-to-Energy Facilities. The work includes, but is not limited to, non-destructive testing to determine integrity of power system components. The work requires the use of power tools to prepare surfaces prior to testing and accessing test areas by moving equipment from location to location. The work is physically demanding and requires stamina and strength. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Must have the ability to work in confined space, (i.e. crawling, twisting, etc.), be comfortable with heights (i.e. scaffolding, etc.), and be willing to get dirty. A large portion of our work occurs during the spring months (April, May June) and the fall (August, September, October). Work is also available at other times throughout the year.
Candidate should be prepared to do shift work comprised of days, nights or a combination of both. Job assignments may vary from 1 day to 2 weeks. Travel throughout the United States by vehicle or plane is required and paid for by PSA. The work is performed in a heavy industrial environment with special safety requirements. PSA will provide the following safety equipment: steel toed shoes, hard hat, hearing protection, eye protection, respiratory protection, coveralls and, when necessary, harnesses and lanyards, face shields, and gloves. In order to ensure each individual’s safety, the following safety tests must be passed prior to hire: Spirometry test (lung capacity), respiratory fit test, and drug screen test. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
