Conducts nondestructive magnetic particle inspections of forgings. Inspects machines and equipment before use to ensure operability and safe working conditions. Performs magnetic particle inspections of in-process forge samples expeditiously and ensures that the quality assurance inspector is informed immediately of results. As required, divides forge lots into sub-lots for further inspection and processing. Maintains traceability according to applicable work instructions. When required, performs grinding and hardness testing of forged products as per work instructions and conducts dimentional inspections of broached products at a time interval specified per work instructions.

Certification to a Level I, II, or III magnetic particle inspector.
