Summary:
The location manager is accountable and responsible for all STORK business operations within the geographic area of California. Location manager must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to 1) strong interpersonal skills to deal with customers, both internal and external; 2) effective verbal and written communication skills used in working with employees, peers, and customers; 3) leadership to build and sustain an environment where employees can grow and prosper; 4) project management skills to manage the process of providing excellent customer service; 5) broad depth knowledge of X-Ray, Mag particles, Liquid, UT, and operation; 6)demonstrated ability to understand, manage, and resolve a wide range of employee and customer issues.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Communicate decisions and guidance on all business related matters and provide oversight for business decisions. Review goals for feasibility and support of location and corporate goals.
Develop long and short term business strategies to include goals and staffing for the location. Utilize the Company’s long range corporate plans coupled with information on industry, economic, and environmental trends to develop these strategies.
Evaluate the locations ability to satisfy customer needs for the present and the future and balance resources to meet these needs.
Provide guidance, direction and developmental opportunities that allow staff talents to be identified and groomed.
Provide managerial guidance to staff on reporting needs and requirements. Review periodic reports and activities status, productivity, budget variance, and all significant business issues. Determine if corrective action is needed and direct changes which need to be made.
Develop, maintain and monitor the locations budget.
Maintain current knowledge of corporate and location policies and procedures.
Provide positive representation for STORK and to the public, to the customers and to all employees through membership in professional organizations, serving on Company Task Forces, conducting employee meetings and visiting work areas.
Be available for consultations with Corporate and direct reporting Supervisors on as needed basis to provide direction necessary for day to day operations and to address cross functional issues.

Education:
BS in Engineering/Technical, and 10 years of progressive management experience. Must be certified by ASNT

Experience:
10 years with engineering background and must be a Level 3 and carry an ASNT certification in X-Ray, Mag particles, Liquid, and UT.

Physical Requirements:
Physical Attributes:
Ability to drive to multiple locations with varying condition, including but not limited to office/urban, rural, and street surface conditions.
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment with the exception of some travel to customer sights and other STORK locations. Work week usually consists of 50 plus hours.
