Certifications (one or more of the following):
CGSB Level II Ultrasonic and Magnetic Particle certification
API-510 In-service Pressure Vessel Inspector and/or API-653 Above Ground Storage Tank Inspector
Skills:
Excellent report writing skills. Must have good grammar skills.
Experience with Ultrasonic Shearwave inspection.
At least basic computer skills. Word, Excell, Access
AutoCad experience would be a great asset.
Responsibilities:
Technicians/Inspectors will be responsible for performing NDT and Visual API inspections on Pressure Vessels and Piping in Gas Plants, Wellsites, etc. and on buried pipeline dig sites. Main jobs include performing Ultrasonic Corrosion Surveys, Plant Shutdowns, Compressor Cracking Surveys, Pipeline Integrity inspections. Responsible for entire jobs from start through finish including; client liason, job scheduling, inspection, reporting. The job involves both field and office time.
Senior Technicians/Inspectors (those fully capable of performing all parts of a job) will also be responsible for training and mentoring junior technicians.
Help develop new inspection procedures and further develop our reporting and analysis capabilities.
Attributes:
Customer oriented. Must be able to keep a client happy.
Able to work out of town for periods up to 10 - 14 days at a time. Most jobs are either based out of Calgary or require less than 7 days out of town but are occasionally up to 14 days.
Must have an open mind and be willing to continuously learn new inspection techniques and procedures.
Able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
