I was the primary inspector on this project which consisted of a clad (A36 to C276)) and solid alloy liner retro-fit of unit no. 3 stack of Indianapolis Power and Light’s Petersburg Station. This included supporting structural, breechings, Liquid Collection Systems as well as a 22’ solid alloy stack extension, 30 ton alloy lined baffle wall and various monitoring fixtures . I functioned as Quality Control and liaison to the client (Indianapolis Power & Light ) and the general contractor ( Black & Veatch ). I tested and certified all Boilermakers and Ironworkers welding on the project and wrote the
procedure for welding of the clad and solid alloy liner. This was a project of significant size and scope (2nd largest ever in U.S) and presented many challenges.

Prior to starting this project I was required to pass safety procedure modules and certify in the safe operation of man lifts. I was one of the lead men on the project, and upon completion of this project was invited to do two additional projects at General Motors plants in Lake Orion and Hamtramck. At these plants I performed similar work on paint lines and also dry ice blasting to clean robotic welding modules.
