Comments
PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM MARK YOUNGBLOOD;
I currently find myself excited and very happy to be able to offer my services and expertise in the NDT field. I've been away from NDT longer than I anticipated, however, please make no mistake in my sincerity as I explain why this absence will have little effect on what I "will bring to the table".

ABILITIES: My NDT knowledge base is solid across the expanse of the five general inspection methods VT, MT, PT, UT, with particular strength in RT. I feel absolutely confident I can quickly establish myself as a valuable asset in any NDT stable by (1); my ability to recertify (in my first attempt)to Level III status in any of these methods with a minimal amount of preparation, and (2); my capacity for quickly learning new methods, leading to original certifications for which I have not been previously certified (i.e. AWS, ASME, API, Leak Testing, QA ISO-9000, etc.) I feel I could accomplish any recertifications and any required original certifications ahead of any reasonably assigned timeframe. My administrative abilities would be recognized at once through 7 years of NDT Program administration and supervisory oversight of 54 Level II Inspection personnel.

APPRAISALS & AWARDS:

AWARDED the NAVY ACHIEVEMENT MEDAL FIVE TIMES;
for sustained superior performance in the aforementioned duties as an NDT Inspector, NDT Examiner, and Radiation Safety Officer.

WRITTEN PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS;
Various excerpts from written performance evaluations include, "standards of the highest caliber", "recognized expert", "proven broadbased knowledge", "relentless drive for excellence", expert trainer", "superb administrator", and "respect and admiration from subordinates, peers, and superiors alike."

SELECTED AS SAILOR OF THE YEAR;
North Kitsap County Sailor of the Year while at Trident Refit Facility, Bangor. His selection package summary stated, "Petty Officer Youngblood displays superior performance without equal. His tremendous technical expertise, integrity, reliability, and professional insight contribute directly to the Command's great success in meeting its strategic mission. An energetic and highly motivated achiever, he sets the standard through exceptional initiative, exemplary professionalism, and sterling personal example."
