Non-Destructive Examination Technician
EXPERIENCE SUMMARY
Over three (3) years experience related to both nuclear and industrial construction, in the field of Nondestructive Examination. I am a Certified Level II Technician in Radiography Testing (RT / CR) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT). Experience includes surveillance of NDE activities and proficiency in Computed Radiography evaluating images and piping wall thicknesses. Recently completed the URS New Manager Training Program. Currently I am the Lead Radiographer for the first shift, while serving as the back-up Coordinator between the client and URS. From May 2011 December 2011 I performed the duties of the NDE Night Shift Lead, responsible for all nightly NDE activities performed by URS personnel on the Parsons contract at the Savannah River Site. Use principles of science, engineering, and mathematics to solve practical testing and control problems. Responsible for ensuring quality through testing and inspection at various stages of production process and compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability for the DOE. Performing gamma ray radiography on piping, tubing, plate, structural supports, and other types of components to support operation and construction activities through out the Parsons construction project. Performing computed radiography interpretation on tubing, core and jacket piping to site procedures and applicable codes. Also one of three (3) NDE technicians designated to learn new Microwave (Evisive Scan) inspection techniques to represent URS on non-dielectric parts examinations throughout the US.
