Non-Destructive Inspection Technician / Journeyman RAF Lakenheath (2004-2009). I
performed, selected and supervised NDI methods for 83 F-15/C/D/E aircraft, 5 HH-60
helicopters, 207 F100-PW-220/229 engines and 660 Aerospace Ground Equipment
units valued at $5B. I evaluated and interpreted indications to detect discontinuities,
defects and flaws in aircraft components and aerospace ground equipment. I operated
and utilized fluorescent penetrant, eddy current, magnetic particle, conventional and digital
radiography, optical, bond test and ultrasonic techniques. I performed operator
maintenance and quality conformance testing on nondestructive test and oil analysis
equipment to affirm continued quality of all processes. I also conducted on-the-job
training.

• Utilized magnetic particle on over 120 engine lifting devices noting over 35 defects
decreasing risk to propulsion crew.

• Performed ultrasonic inspections on honeycomb flight controls detecting disbonds and
delaminations. Performed checks on landing gears ensuring strut fluid levels were within
limits.

• Viewed over 5K of radiography film covering flight controls, inlet ramps and certified
welds. And with attention to detail locating over 300 foreign objects preventing
catastrophic damage to turbine engine. Located water preventing core damage to flight
controls.

• Performed ECI 100HR inspections on over 200 F100-PW-229 engines. Noted a
defect before scheduled morning take off preventing catastrophic engine damage and
most important saving two lives.

• Performed ECI 50HR inspections on over 60 F100-PW-220 engines.

• September 2008 I received the Bronze Award for 100% pass rate on all Quality
Assurance Personnel Evaluations and Quality Verification Inspections.

Comments
5 years experience on F15/C/D/E aircraft with extensive use in all applications. I worked in a
busy fast paced shop with over 30 coworkers so I am people oriented. We provided 24 hour coverage so I'm flexible with hours. Work included inspecting in-shop parts to jobs on the
flight line.
