Primary Duties
As a Staff Sergeant and federal employee I supervised airmen, coordinated inspections with other maintenance sections. Vastly improved, modernized, and administered a training outline and process for new airmen entering the nondestructive inspection section for all methods. Enforced all safety procedures, and ensured hazmat was was handled accordingly with.
Developed new nondestructive inspection techniques and followed pre-existing inspection procedures according to blue prints, technical orders, Boeing and ASTM specifications, as well as engineering instruction.
Located discontinuities and defects such as cracks, delaminations, voids, and heat damage using nondestructive inspection methods such as radiography, fluorescent liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, eddy current, ultrasonic, bond and composites testing, and performing spectrometric oil analysis through use of atomic emission to determine trend values within oil wetted components.
Experienced with common laboratory practices, equipment, and analysis techniques. Determining metallurgical information of components according to alloy, temper, conductivity, and associated factors. Performing process controls and setting up and calibrating test equipment, as well as interpreting discontinuities and specification rejection limits.

GPC purchasing agent
Managed unit government purchasing program. Improved government purchasing accountability by coding a Microsoft Excel Database to calculate and control all transactions and ensure section supervisors had access to the budget. The database was shared and resulted in being awarded by the Command Chief for overhauling the process.
