SUBJECT: NDT CERTIFICATION
1. The following information is concerning A1C Thomas Brown who is assigned to Pope Field, NC , 440 Maintenance Squadron as a Nondestructive Testing Apprentice of the NDI Laboratory. A1C Brown is a qualified 3 Level in Nondestructive Inspection, performing PT, MT, ET, UT, and Radiography.
2. A1C Brown attended Nondestructive Apprentice School at NAS Pensacola as a 1 Skill Level in November 2011. This course contained 40 hours of training in PT, MT, ET, UT, BT, RT, and Oil Analysis. Upon completion of this course he was awarded his 3 Skill Level and started his 5 Skill Level Career Development Course and 12 months OJT. This course gave a total of 2400 hours in PT, MT, ET, UT and RT. In conjunction with this course, A1C Brown completed 250 hours performing PT, 370 hours performing MT, 500 hours performing ET, 100 hours performing UT, and 400 hours of Radiography.
3. A1C Brown has completed all necessary requirements to be upgraded to a 5 Skill Level within 15 months of training, and will hold a total of 2 years experience. In this time completing a total of 2680 hours in training for all methods, and at minimum 250 hours of PT, 370 hours of MT, 500 hours of ET, 100 hours of UT, and 400 hours in RT.
