· Responsible for BM1 “Broaching machine” for part number 6962,Check geometrical dimensions, inspect its spline by gauges and performed fine grinding process for parts.
· Maintained high level of quality for that mass production machine and ensure that production within the specified auto industry producers’ limits (Zero Defect Criteria for GM and Ford).

Assistant Department Manager of Refractory section.
· Supervised team of 34 skilled technicians and one engineer.
· Supervised slide gate and CNC workshop activities where as a team of one expertise &5 technicians repair and maintain mechanical parts used in slide gate mechanism system or CNC mechanism system.
· Managed lining activities for 2 x 120-ton EAF’s (Electric Arc Furnace), with 6 x EAF delta roofs, 7 x100 ton ladles, and 9 x 16 ton tundishes. Tundishes have been upgraded on site to Calibrated Nozzle Changing (CNC) technology with knew how supplied by Vesuvius Co.
· Evaluated refractory materials’ consumptions for all aspects of plant and technical & statistical analysis of materials’ performance from all suppliers, deal with suppliers for best cost-performance ratio of refractory materials. Ezz achieved level of “World’s Best Practice” for average monthly refractory consumption was 6.3 kg refractory/ton.
· Communicated with other departments’ managers for follow up plant performance, attended all daily and monthly production /safety meetings.
· Involved in plant’s budget yearly for refractory materials.
· Responsible optimization ladle working lining refractory consumption project “Achieved minimization 3.29 kg/ton @2001, 2.68 @2002 & 2.26 @ 2003” (31 % saving in three years period).
· Applied ISO quality and environmental system in refractory department.
· Issued, control and follow refractory purchase requests through Oracle.

Aug.1997 - Feb. 2001 Al EZZ STEEL CO. Cairo
Steel Continuous Casting Machine (CCM) Engineer.
· Supervised team of 15 skilled technicians and one Forman.
· Managed production process of Continuous Casting Machine of 100-ton/hr steel plant (Knew how by DANIELI Co). This plant consists of EBT type “EAF” equipped with MORE Co (Italy), DANARC module technology for oxygen injection for the advantages provided by burners.
· Managed entire casting process, as senior shift member of staff, and ensuring that process parameters, productivity rates and product quality were always maintained and take necessary actions to prevent defects. Responsible for safety and safe working procedures for all my staff.
· Communicated with refractory and mould sections and my colleague at the EAF for productivity maximization and down time elimination.
· Reported directly to the Plant Manager (Day based) and assigned for training of four new crews (15 persons per crew) for advanced CCM technology with max. Speed of 3.5 m/min. during plant’s upgrade @ 2000.
· Optimized CCM performance such as maximum casting time in tundishes refractory and CCM mould & minimum materials cost.

Feb.1998 - Apr.1998 Al EZZ STEEL CO. Cairo
Start Up and Commission Steel Minimill Engineer.
· Participated in commission of 100 ton steel /hr for minimill accepts included EAF, CCM and 2 x150-ton crane, materials handling systems, preheaters, ladles, tundishes. Created project’s defects list for CCM attended daily project progress meeting with know how supplier (DANIELI CO).
· Involved in plant preparation of all the Standard Operating Procedures, and training of an unskilled local team of technicians in ladle flow control system (Slide gate) & Nitrogen stirring system (porous plug) for the 6 x 100 ton steel ladles during plant start-up.
· Managed a team of 12 technicians.

Aug.1997 - Aug.1998 HAMINZ CO. Cairo
Design & Production Engineer.
· Designed CNC (computer numerical control) programs of lathes and milling machines for production of internal combustion engines Piston Rings for Auto producers like Nissan, Peugeot, and Toyota.
· Managed production process of Piston Rings from casting blanks, grinding process, internal turning in (CTB machine) and external turning with gap adjusting in (AFT machine).
· Achieved Quality limits of produced piston rings through its entire process take any necessary actions to keep quality within the producers’ limits and to achieve Zero defect quality criteria.
· Supervised team of 16 technicians and one Forman.
