Experience
Over 10 Years of experience in Welding, Quality Control / Quality Assurance and Non Destructive Testing field as a Welding Engineer, Sr. QA/QC Inspector and Multi-Discipline technician in fabrication field of various process equipment's such as Pressure Vessels, Columns, Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers, Storage Tanks, Off-shore Equipment's, Boilers, Desalination & Power Plant equipment's such as evaporators, refinery piping and piping spool fabrications.

Responsibilities included :
Supervise QC Inspectors & Welding Foreman and ensure Implementation of project-based QA/QC plans. Involved in Quality Control/Assurance of Power Piping "PP" stamp, Process Piping, Desalination Piping, IBR scope piping and Pressure Vessel "U" stamp. Organizing and Monitoring all Induction Bends job activities right from Bid Review to Final Shipment.

Review Bid documents & client specifications and prepare Inspection and Test plans, Method of Statement, Shop Quality Control plan and any deviations as per Project requirements.

Preparation/approval of NDT procedures & Technique. Training, Examination & Certification of Level-II NDT personnel.

Worked as Saudi Aramco approved Welding Inspector under sub-cont. Dodsal for Khuff Condensate Project, Ras Tanura, KSA (Mar’01-Nov’01), involved in Welder Qualification, Fitup and Weld Inspection, ensure proper adherence to WPS, Dimensional Inspection, NDE selection, etc.

Support in establishing Induction Bending Parameters for producing bends that best meet the client specification and requirements.

Organize preparation of test coupons from PQR’s, Qualification (induction) Bends and WQT and ensure Mechanical Testing as per applicable code.

Inspect incoming materials intended for project use, in-house use or inventory stock- to include locally and foreign procured materials as well as customer furnished materials, CFM. Inspection is based on latest ASME/ANSI/API codes, project specifications and company’s procedures and regulations whichever is applicable.

Ensure calibration status of measuring and testing equipments, Welding Machines, etc. and updating records on completion.

Inspection of welds for Pressure vessels, Heat Exchanger, Columns, Power Plant equipment's, Oil & Gas Structures, Aerospace Vehicles, Subsea Equipment's, Steel Plants.

Trouble shooting for shop related welding process viz. SAW, semi auto. and mechanized GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SMAW and consumable control on shop floor.

Liaison with various Clients/Inspection agencies for all quality aspects of project including Welding & other technical issues.

Co-ordination with client / Third party inspectors for Inspection activities.

Monitoring of welding activities, heat treatment, welding consumables.

Radiographic film interpretation and evaluation.

Performed Ultrasonic flaw detection using Shear Waves & Ultrasonic thickness gauging and am well conversant with most UT equipment’s from Panametrics, Krautkramer, Sonatest and EEC.

Performed RT on piping welds, tanks, dished ends and pressure vessels and am well conversant with most Gamma ray Cameras and X-ray Machines.

Performed Hardness Testing of root pass welds and post weld heat treated piping joints and induction bends and am familiar to most Hardness Testers eg. Echotip-2, DynaMic, Poldi, etc.

Performed Fluorescent & Visible MPT and LPT.

Monitor and coordinate Leak Test and Hydrostatic Test of various welds and components.

Monitor and evaluate Positive Material Identification tests and reports.

Monitor Pickling activities and application of corrosion Inhibitors when required .

Final Inspection and releasing Spools for Painting of Pre-fabricated Piping Systems.

Measuring Surface Profile after Blasting and DFT check after Painting.

Experience of preparing Manufacturer's Data Report and Final Inspection Reports for PP Stamp fabrication.

Issue of inspection release note and overlook preparation of QC Dossiers.
